Allison's therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. She believes in creating a safe and trusting environment where clients can explore their inner world, gain insights, and work towards positive change.
Personalized Sessions
Everyone's life experiences are unique and how we manage through those experiences are just as unique. Therapy with Allison won't be cookie cutter or full of printouts for homework. In our first session, we will complete a detailed intake history and agree upon goals to work toward. From there, we will work together, at your own pace (with some encouragement) toward reaching those goals.
Evidence-based Practices
Generally speaking, one approach to therapy isn't going to suit an individual's needs. Most times, multimodality disciplines are needed to help reach your goals and with that in mind, Allison has experience with CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, solution focused, somatic based approaches, as well as client centered interventions. Testing measures will also be utilized which will help track levels of depression and anxiety throughout treatment so that you can see the progress made!
Holistic approaches
Sometimes talk therapy isn't enough and with or without medication management you can still feel in a rut. We will work together to find other somatic options that can improve outcomes.
